Is Increased Acne Normal When You Start Using Birth Control?

First and foremost, I have never had a huge problem with acne/pimples. However, I started taking birth control (Loestrin) about a week ago and now my face is a MESS. Is this normal? Should I call my gynocologist and ask her if I should start another brand of BC or should I wait for a few more weeks?

Birth control changes the hormonal balance of your body initially till the time your body adapts to your birth control medication. This should go after some tim. However consulting you gyni will not do any harm. She can adjust the dosage for your needs.
To get some intermidiate help you can try some minor changes in your life style. You can use some natural cures given at http://www.enaturecure.com/2009/08/natur…

There would be a hormonal imbalance when you start taking birth control. Maybe you should try revitol’s acnezine since it balances your hormones and the good this is it is natural. http://www.revitolacnezinereviews.com

It is possible it all depends on how your body reacts to the hormones in the pill.

Yes it is a possible side affect of birthcontrol. Give it some time to settle down, your body is getting used to a huge hormonal difference right now

Actually alot of people find just the opposite. It helps acne. I say give it a few weeks to settle down, if it doesn’t just ask your doctor.
    Hope this helps :)
