I hate pimples and zits and cant afford to buy proactive every time I finish a bottle. So is there a way to get rid of acne using the least amount of treatments???

I don’t know if this would work for you, how old you are or what type of skin you have. But I was always concerned about my skin. I grew up with little money and was 1 of 8 children. I had to earn my own money for anything I wanted and began working at the age of 9. All this said, I had an oily t-zone as a teenager and had to wash my face frequently. One of my older sisters told me that she used plain isopropyl alchohol or peroxide that she purchased from the health and beauty aids department. You can buy these cheaply (usually less than $1 on sale) from any CVS, Walmart, etc. if you decide to try it. I did. And it worked for me. I preferred the alcohol. It seemed to keep my skin zit-free if I used it every night after I washed my face. Surprisingly, I used Ivory soap; quite popular and cheap back then. I also had a problem with clogged pores until I started using it. My pores improved and looked smaller too. I just didn’t like the way it smelled so I only used it at night before bed. When I tried the peroxide from the bottle I had to dilute it. I remember having a zit and wanting it to disappear as quickly as possible. I put it on toilet paper (cheaper than cotton balls!) and cleaned the zit (too often apparently, LOL) and at first it looked worse to me because it formed the white crusty look you sometimes get when you clean a cut. However that didn’t happen if I diluted it with water. I don’t know if this was a good thing or not because I am not a doctor or nurse. I just know it worked for me back then and I am fortunate enough at the age of 46 to have really nice skin. So I don’t think it hurt me in any way. Do keep in mind that your skin changes due to hormones and other things through your life. I hope this may help you in some way.
Green wintergreen rubbing alochol, pour a bit on a tissue and wipe your face..you will see the tissue become very dirty. Do it every morning and every night before bed. This is one of those tricks that no one ever knows..The best part..the bottle is usually about 89 cents… I find it at vons or walgreens.
My husband had bad acne and he went to the dermatoligist and tried everything but this works and he is perfectly clear.http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j…
