Women With Sensitive Complexions: What Is Your Favorite Line Of Skin Care & Moisturizers?

August 29, 2009 by Phil

The cold dry winter air has really taken a toll on my skin this year. My complexion has always been sensitive, but the usual products don’t seem to be working anymore.
For those who have a tried and true skin care routine, what do you use and are you pleased with the results?
Moisturizing is a HUGE deal now…..so please include information about that as well as the facial cleanser you use (etc).
Thank you!

I have had great success with Olay products. My skin like yours is very sensitive to many Cosmetics, but this one is very gentle and is reasonably priced.
A great place to go to get cosmetic reviews is here.http://www.cosmeticscop.com/skin-care-ma…

at night I do the first three htings again

and I use differin that I got from my derm [I live by it] and I put toothpaste on any red spots i have
also change your pillow case every other night so bacteria and oil doesn’t build up [acne]

I use natural products because I have very sensitive skin, and these products really nourish my skin ;)
For moisturizing I use jojoba oil, but only at night because it makes your face a bit shiny. For the day, I mix 1-2 drops of it with my clinique moisturizer (which is excellent, by the way!)
Aveeno products are also excellent for moisturizing and cleansing.

If you go to Trader Joes, they have a cleanser called Tea Tree Oil with Awapuee or something like that. It really is good for sensitive skin, because it is very mild. I started using it like 4 days ago, and it does wonders! For moisturizers, I would go with something on the professional side, that has a sunscreen.

Cetaphil is a soap free cleanser that I use every winter- all winter long!
Oil of Olay moisturizer- Olay Complete for sensitive skin with spf 15. I use everyday all year round.
You can find them both at your local drug store for about $10 each.
I don’t recommend the store brand cetaphil, its worth the extra few dollars.

Honestly, I like chanel products…they contain natural plant extracts and work really well for my sensitive skin. Make sure you moisturize everyday with their hydrating line! Its fantastic.
I use their foaming cleanser. Also I use a hydrating mask every week. Doesnt matter which one, I always experiment with that. Right now Im on the boots botanics mask.
    Good luck!

I have very sensitive skin also. The winter always seems to make my skin very dry too. What I use is Mary Kay “Time Wise” age fighting moisurizer. It really helps my face get moisturized, and it doesn’t hurt. It’s great!
For the rest of my body, I use eucerin calming creme or Aveeno. Those are both good too.

I have very sensitive skin and I have found Dove body wash (or bar) the best for my skin. As far as facial cleanser, I use Aveeno facial cleanser (available in bar or pump form) as well as Aveeno daily moisturizer.

The best moisturizers for sensitive skin are Vanicream and Eucerin, even for extremely sensitive skin. You can use them anywhere on your body. :)

    it’s awesome
but only if you use it everyday
