How Can I Get People To Host Mary Kay Skin Care Classes?

February 27, 2010 by Phil

What should I offer? I have been sick for the past 2 weeks and I want to get back into things. With the holidays coming, most people are not interested. After the holidays, I should be booked! I am looking to make a few extra dollars before Christmas (3 kids to buy for). Any suggestion would be helpful. Thanks

Good luck, most of these cosmetics are over priced and don’t do what they claim. People don’t have the money for the items anyway . There are better cosmetics on the markets and I suggest you buy Paula Begones book, Don’t go to the cosmetic counter without me.

Start with asking Mary Kay to make quality products worth selling at those god-awful high prices!
Or…..keep making the same old garbage they are dishing out as quality, but sell them for the pennies they cost to actually make them.
I know honey, my aunt used to work for Mary Kay. I know the ingredients in those products. She told us what’s in them, and what it costs to make them. Mary Kay is a huge rip-off. People don’t like to be ripped-off. My aunt did make a good living selling for Mary Kay, but……that’s because she found women stupid enough to buy the huge sales pitch….same goes for Avon. If you all knew what it takes to make those cosmetics you’d just die! It cost pennies to produce that stuff! All your paying for is the manufacturing/marketing costs…oh yea, AND the name. You need to make some extra cash…..go to auctions and garage sales and sell your items on ebay. My husband quit his job two years ago and sells on ebay now. We just bought a new house in the country. 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, on 6 wooded acres. If you need some extra cash….give it a try.
(Never under estimate the power of prayer too! Before taking on any new venture…..always seek guidance first.)

Ask! Ask! Ask! Ask current customers to have open houses to get some product at reduced cost or free. Ask them for referrals. Talk to your director and get more ideas (have an open house or a sale)

You should switch to Arbonne…. it’s much better for your skin. Botanically based, pure, Swiss skin care.
No quotas to meet….you get a flat 35% off and commission from your downline recruits. People are willing to pay the price because of the quality of the products. It’s the latest craze….

Come on, if you are involved in Mary Kay you are expected to attend weekly meetings where they discuss things like how to get bookings.
I sold Mary Kay years ago. Call your director or the person who recuited you and they should be able to give you some ideas. Holidays are a great time to hold an open house in your own home or at the home of friends. Forget doing a full demo. show. Make an offer that entices people to buy your product. A friend of mine who eventually became a director holds a month long open house with prizes that her customers can vie for. She also offers discounts, gift packages that she puts together, etc. Be creative!!
