How do I get rid of zits under the skin?

I feel bumps on my skin but they aren’t extremely visible. You can see them up close. My sister thinks they are zits under the skin. They are really irritating. Is there any product that might help me get rid of the zits? I really want softer, smoother, and most important healthier skin. I shower regularly so my face gets clean and I have been using Clean and Clear, the exfoliating stuff. I know that is for dead skin and everything but you never know. Please help me zap the zits!
The tricky part about acne is that the problem can actually become worse if you overmedicate. That’s because acne medication can overdry the skin, causing a boost in your skin’s Sebum (oil) production. This results in…you guessed it - more acne. So what’s the long term solution? Find gentler solutions or even natural acne cures that won’t shock your body into more breakouts. Here’s what I recommend… Glycerin based facewash: Glycerin is gentler and will balance the pH levels in your skin. Antibacterial Soap: For body acne, try using an antibacterial soap to slowly dry out the skin. If your skin gets too dry, switch to a moisterizing soap like Dove to counterbalance the effect. Don’t Overwash: Wash your face only 2 times a day max and gently pat dry with a towel. Moisterize: Use a gentle face moisterizer if the glycerin based face wash drys you out too much. I like using Aveeno moisterizers personally. Change Your Diet: Eat almonds, fiber, drink lots of water and avoid excess sugar intake. Food really does make a difference. This is because the food you put into your body has a direct effect on your Sebum (oil) production. By eating the right foods, you’ll minimize oily skin, thereby preventing breakouts. Egg Whites: If acne medication isn’t working or causing new breakouts, try applying egg whites to the pimples at night before bed. This natural remedy works by gently drying out the clogged pores and clearing up the pimple. Oatmeal Masks: One of my favorite natural skin conditioners is wearing an “oatmeal mask”. The oatmeal with smooth your skin while simultaneously absorb toxins and oils from your pores. Try this for a few days straight. Wear the oatmeal mask for 10 minutes, then wash off. You’ll have a nice glowing complexion right after. Lemon Juice: Lemon juice also dries up pimples and kills any bacteria in the infection. The citric acid also balances your skin’s pH levels to prevent future breakouts. Honey: Yes, despite your initial beliefs, honey is FANTASTIC for skin care. Actually, you may notice on many moisterizers that honey is an ingredient. Much like the lemon solution above, honey balances the skins pH levels. Test out this sticky remedy by dabbing pimples with honey and leaving it on for 5-10 minutes. You can apply full honey masks to your face but I prefer the oatmeal masks instead. They’re less messy. For more great remedies, CHECK OUT THE SOURCE LINK Below.

Acne Don’ts: The 7 Things You Should Never Do To Your skin When You Have Acne (And Even If You Don’t)

You skin is the largest organ in your body. Besides helping the body in the process of toxic elimination (One of the main acne contributing factors), it also protects your body against temperature changes, and from harmful invaders.

By working with your skin and not against it you pave the way to an enhanced healing of the skin. Your skin will look and feel better; it will become more even toned and vibrant.

On the other hand, by constantly doing the following, you are weakening the natural protecting capabilities of your skin, you are slowing the healing process of your skin, and are making your skin look bad and making your acne worse:

1.Smoking

Besides lung cancer, heart disease and early aging of your skin (e.g. wrinkles), smoking causes the contraction of the small capillaries and blood vessels of the skin, thus depriving your skin from the essential oxygen I needs for the creation and maintenance of healthy cells.

2. Using Topical Steroids

Over the counter or prescription cortisone based creams, especially the potent types, can eventually thin your skin and worsen your acne condition in the long run in addition to the irritation, redness and other side effects steroid creams can cause. Moreover, topicals by definition address the symptoms of acne (inflammation, itching, puss), they do not treat the root cause of the disease. Nevertheless, taking care of your skin externally is highly recommended but should be performed gently using pure natural ingredients such as diluted tea tree oil.

3. Taking Antibiotics

Antibiotic treatments like tetracycline aggravate your acne in the long run and also severely damage your internal system in the process. Antibiotics destroy all the bacteria in your system including the good, probiotic bacteria like acidophilus that have many essential qualities that promote clear skin. One of these qualities is the ability to protect your digestive tract from parasites and fungus (that constantly stress and damage your liver, one of the most important organs responsible for the healing process of your skin).

4. Shaving with Four-In-One Razor blades

Never use these four-in-one razor blades when shaving especially if you have large bumps and painful cysts. The reason is that blades that guarantee the “closest shave” will cause severe irritation and will damage your skin. Always use a single blade when having “live” acne.

5. Picking Your Skin (popping and squeezing included)

Never, never and ever touch, pick or squeeze your blemishes, regardless of how temping and “safe” it may seem. By doing this unprofessionally, you make your acne worse by aggravating your existing inflammation and pushing the puss deeper and wider into the skin. There are in fact very effective and safe ways of dealing with small whiteheads or blackheads but I would strongly recommend leaving that to the professionals if you care for your skin and wish to prevent further scarring.

6. Taking excessive amounts of Vitamin A

Vitamin A from natural sources (green leafy vegetables and beta carotene fruit and veggies) and in small quantities can significantly enhance the healing process of your skin but when taken excessively it can seriously damage your liver and cause severe health problems and side effects.

7.Use over the counters for your Rosacea

That one is a no-brainer. Taking over the counters that by definition make your skin red and irritating is definitely not something you want to do when surfeiting from rosacea. If you suffer from rosacea, always consult your dermatologist prior to applying over the counters on your already inflamed and highly sensitive skin.

How can i get rid of acne, without drying out my skin?

I am a twelve year old girl. I get acne mostly on my forehead (mainly between my eyebrows), near my nose and on my chin. My nose is really oily too, i dont know why! I have used nutregena oil-free acne wash, nutregena rapid clear, and clearasil daily face wash, but all of them either did nothing, or made my acne worse, or dried out my skin! Right now all i am doing is washing my face with plain soap daily. It helps somewhat. My mom wotn let me use any zit cream or anything, only face washes, because she says the other stuff will dry out my skin. What is some things i can do to get rid of my oily skin and acne without drying out my skin?. Nothign too expensive, i cant afford proactive or any of that stuff. preferably natural.
Applying lavander essential oil works wonders. I didn’t really believe it until someone reccomded I try it instead of the standard on the shelf stuff. Besides that, I have found the following things matter and tend to effect acne.

1) Eating sugar (and artifical ones). If you eat no sugar your predispotion to acne drops a lot. Mine completely vanished when I did.

2) Eating greasy fried food (aka fast food). I noticed I was able to feel outbreaks coming on as I ate the stuff. I think sugar matters more though.

3) Getting rid of hair covering the face (so beards, sideburns, or long curly hair that gets to your cheaks). I don’t know why this one matters but it does.

4) Washing the face with water from a shower. The more you wash it the better it gets. However, chlorine which is in all tap water irritates it as well, so if you get the chance to get a chlorine shower filter that goes a long way to fixing your skin (and hair).

There are some other anecdotal things I am not sure of in anyway about acne, but I’d leave it as; if you are generally healthy then you will not get acne, so most of the time its best to just think of acne as an indictator for your body. Then again its a pretty awful one to deal with, and I went through a lot of grief before I figured out what I just told you.

What skin care product would you recommend for 12 to 15 year olds who have acne and black heads?

Which skin care product is the best such as Neutrogena, Biore, or Pro Activ. I was also wondering if The Wave really worked because I've heard good and bad things about it.

Neutrogena ALL thee way!!! I have the Wave, it works AMAZINGLY. My skin is SOOOO soft after. I definitely recommend it because it is only 12 dollars! After though, make sure you use a toner to remove all the dirt and make-up after washing your face, you'd be amazed about how much is still on after washing your face. Finally, use a moisturizer with an SPF of 15. This will protect your skin from the very harmful sun and keep it feeling soft all day. Do these procedures twice a day and you'll skin will be awesome. Make sure you exfoliate your skin with an exfoliater, do not use Apricot Scrub because it contains shells which wear away your skin layers. Use something with gentle beads, make sure to exfoliate because our skin sheds every 7 days and if you don't clean it away, it will clog your pores.

Hope to Help and good luck! =]

What is the best way to market laser acne treatments for teens?

My Company has an acne laser treatment for people with acne. We want to boost our sales by advertising for teens, but we need some good and creative ideas. Thanks!
Yes, or laser works. It has worked for EVERY patient that has had it done.

Check around your local high schools and community colleges. In our area the schools sell advertising space in anything from theater/choir programs to the monthly newspaper that the school prints.

You might also think about a few promotional items that are geared towards teens. Maybe pens that they can use at school that say "Go Cougars ~ brought to you by XXX Laser Acne Center" or key chains, foam fingers for football/basketball games. I can think of all kinds of things!
